EAST RIDGE OLIVE GROVE

                a small, family operated grove producing
                     fresh quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil
                                      year after year!
                              

East Ridge Olive Grove is a small family run grove situated in the

Central Tablelands between the towns of Rylstone and Mudgee in NSW.

 

The 1000 tree grove was established in 2003. 

Predominantly Tuscan and Spanish varieties, the trees were chosen

for their suitability to the local climate, quality of oil and taste. 

Our olives are carefully harvested each April by a dedicated team of

family and friends. The final product of high quality,

cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil is everyone's reward.

 

Our oil is fresh

 

East Ridge Extra Virgin Olive Oil is extracted from freshly picked olives.

We press immediately after harvest without the use of chemicals processes or heat.

This ensures the oil's remarkable health benefits, flavour and freshness is maximized

and preserved, resulting in a high quality product that you can trust. 

 

Unlike refined oils, fresh extra virgin olive oil is highly prized for its

content of vitamins and nutrients. It is natural, without any additives

and being rich in antioxidants, is considered beneficial to heart

health and general well being. The fruity taste and complex aroma

makes East Ridge Extra Virgin Olive Oil  delicious drizzled over salads, 

vegetables, pasta and in all cooking.

- FROM THE FARM KITCHEN - 

Hommus


1 can of chick peas, drained and rinsed
1 heaped tablespoon of tahini

Juice of 1 lemon

1 small garlic clove crushed

pinch of smoked paprika, cumin and salt

A generous glug or two of East Ridge Extra Virgin Olive Oil

 

Blitz in the food processor or blender til smooth.
Add more olive oil or a splash of water if it’s a bit thick.

 

Serve with your favourite crudité and an enormous feeling of satisfaction. We love watching the boys eat their weight in veggies all because they’re served with delicious fresh hommus!
